Growing up in the Bay Area, Charles Kestler was fascinated with the
patterns of the natural landscape of his home state. Charles studied at
U.C. Santa Cruz receiving a B.A. in Environmental Studies. He started a
small garden maintenance company called DEEP ROOTS Gardening in
1992. Since then the company has matured into the present day DEEP
ROOTS Landscape Construction and Design. Charles has, in recent years,
successfully completed a Certificate Programme in Landscape
Architecture at U.C. Berkeley Extension.
